Crash

I cannot get this to work at all. Sometimes I can get to the download stage before it crashes. Other times I just crashes right away. Waste of $20 subscription.

Problems

There is a problem with this app. House Beautiful please fix. I have been charged for two magazines and can only download one.

Fixed! Crashes every time I try to download

Update! The issue with the download has been fixed. I just finished downloading 3 issues. Thanks for fixing this problem Hearst Communications. Feb 18-Very unhappy! This app crashes every time I try to download an issue. I deleted it and reinstalled 3 times but I still have the same issue. Not impressed- especially since I paid for a years subscription

House beautiful

This app does not work properly. The download keeps freezing and after several tries throughout the day it still has not loaded. How do I get my money back for the annual subscription? I don t need to go through this for each months publication!

Irresponsible that Hearst hasnt fixed the download problems

July 3, 14 Havent been able to download at least 6 months of thedigital versions....i am paying for it on a monthly auto renew. ITunes support very helpful. Thank goodness. I am cancelling this subscription even though I am loathe to do it because I love the magazine. Management of opns should feel the wrath of the excellent editors cause they arecausing loss of fans like me. Grrrrr..

Not good

I cant read the magazine past the first 5 or 6 pages. The app has crashed 10 times.

Major bug issues

I have terrible trouble with this ap. New issues dont load, and I constantly have to delete and reload the ap just to look at my issue. Once my subscription ends I will think twice about renewing.

Crashes constantly

Crashes constantly despite redownloading, updating, and rebooting my iPad. Loved it until last 3 editions, none do which Ive been able to read because of constant crashing. No such problems with BHG or VF....

Dont download it

I already have a subscription for the hard copy. I will not pay anything to get this on my iPad. No other magazine I purchase requires me to pay for the hard copy and also pay for the soft copy,

Dont bother

This is a disappointing app because you cant even view the cover of the current or past issues unless you purchase it, nor can you preview any of the pages inside the magazine. Dont install it.

Does not apply to paper subscriptions

Almost every other digital magazine allows you access for free if you already have a paper/hard-copy subscription - BUT NOT HOUSE BEAUTIFUL!!! I normally love this magazine, I have a 2-year paper subscription, so I am astounded that HB would ask loyal customers to pay again to get the same content on the iPad. ***FIX PLEASE!!!!!!***

Annoyed w the download

I bought a subscription AND a previous issue! They never downloaded or EVER showed up in My Library! Grrr

Do not download!

This is simply an app to purchase an online subscription. If you have a subscription by snail mail, you will not be able to get this. Also, you cannot view any content whatsoever.

Whats the point?

I have been a subscriber to HB for a long time. Having recently renewed my subscription and having just received the January 2013 issue I was excited to try out the iPad app the issue repeatedly boasts about. I followed the instructions on page 6 of the magazine and was unable to get any of the images to scan and upload. I was also disappointed to find that HB wants me to pay again for the same exact content I already have in the traditional format. What a waste!

Annoyed

I agree with previous reviewers that it is ridiculous that print customers have to pay for a separate digital subscription. Every other magazine I subscribe to offers this for free. I will definitely reconsider my HB subscription going forward.

Unlike most other magazines that give you a digital subscription when you already receive a subscription by mail HB will make you purchase content you already receive but in digital format. Ideally Id prefer to not receive the print version and switch to a digital, however Im not going to pay the same amount to have the same sub in two different versions. At least offer at a discounted rate for print subscribers.

Get with the times...

Agree with the other reviewers that HB should be encouraging early adoption of the digital format by allowing current, and often long time, subscribers to make the switch. I guess I have to let my paper subscription run out and then start anew digitally. HB should be looking at seamless integration with print and online particularly with mobile adoption skyrocketing. Dont lose out by being slow to convert. Look at digital as a way to bring your beautiful content to life as others have done -- Martha Stewart Living, National Geographic for starters.

Why bother offering free app you can see absolutely nothing from free view.
